Dr Matthew Binks

Dr Matthew Binks is a specialist general surgeon completing the final year of his oncoplastic breast surgery fellowship.

After graduating from the University of NSW, Matt undertook his general surgery training across a number of regional and metropolitan hospitals. During this time, Matt was exposed to a broad array of emergency and elective surgeries and managed to complete a Masters in Trauma Surgery.

Matt’s first post-fellowship year in oncoplastic surgery was completed on the Central Coast of NSW and saw him gain considerable experience in breast and thyroid surgery. During his time on the Central Coast, Matt was made a conjoint lecturer for the University of Newcastle and spent considerable time teaching and assessing medical students.

Matt has a keen interest in clinical research and has published multiple scientific papers and presented his work both locally and internationally.
