Dr Railya Mousina
Oncoplastic Breast and Melanoma Fellow
Dr Mousina has graduated with Honours from Medical Science from UNSW and obtained a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery through the University of Sydney.
She has developed a particular interest in surgical oncology after completing a thesis on Human Homologue Mouse Mammary Tumour Virus in hormone dependent cancers in her undergraduate studies. Railya is a Fellow of the Australian College of Surgeons and has completed her internship and residency at Prince of Wales Hospital followed by specialist general surgical training across major tertiary and regional hospitals in NSW. Dr Mousina is passionate about teaching and holds a clinical lecturer position with the Central Clinical School at the University of Sydney. She has previously acted as the Local Coordinator for the FRACS Fellowship Examination and has worked as a Surgical Superintendant at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. Railya is currently completing her Masters in Breast Surgery at the University of Sydney.
During this fellowship year Dr Mousina hopes to develop her knowledge and skills in breast oncoplastics surgery and melanoma as well as participate in breast cancer trials and contribute to research in this field.
